If You Had A Large Win on The National Lottery, Just Think How Much Silver Jewellery You Could Buy

At the beginning of every year I always try and work out a rough financial plan for the year ahead.  Of course you are always going to have some months with additional outgoings.    Unfortunately when I had my children, even though there is a 5 year age gap, their actual birthdays are only a few days apart, so March and April are pretty expensive months.   My daughter is always easy to buy for, give her a piece of silver jewellery and she is more than happy.  My son is a different kettle of fish and he is really difficult to get anything for.  He doesn’t like any sort of men’s jewellery, so this is never an option.  It was his 18th birthday last year and we decided to treat him to a flying lesson from our local airport.    This caused a huge row, but that is another story!!

Come August we are always short of funds due to the fact that we always take our holiday in this month.  If I had a choice I wouldn’t take my holiday in August, but as my daughter is still at school, it’s pretty hard to take holidays at any other time.  It is unfair though as you end of paying a lot more for your holiday than any other time of the year, and the travel companies know they have you just where they want you.

September is another costly month for us as it is our wedding anniversary and my other halfs birthday.   Last year was our 20th Anniversary and even though I dropped many a hint, the silver earrings I wanted never did materialise.    He had better get it right for our 21st this year otherwise there will be problems. 

After September, the build up to Christmas begins and so funds are shorter than ever.    It is such a hard way to live, saving for this and that and reaching the end of the year, and then come January having to start all over again.

What needs to happen is a big win on the Lottery.  I have played the Lottery since it started way back in November 1994, so surely my luck must change soon and my lucky numbers will be pulled out!  Just imagine how much beautiful jewellery I could get myself and no worries that my husband has got me the wrong gift - AGAIN!!
